U OF M Crookston |Heritage Hall
The University of Minnesota-Crookston campus responded to recent student growth by constructing two apartment style residence halls in the past 5 years. This 43,000 SF, 140-bed residence hall is focused towards freshman and sophomore students. The facility will consist of unit suites that will contain two bedrooms (two students per bedroom), a small study/living area and a bath/shower. The living suites will not have kitchens, however, common kitchenettes will be provided at each wing of each floor for student use along with common laundry facilities. Added amenities include lounge space, study rooms, vending, exercise rooms as well as pool and ping pong recreation areas. A 100-seat multi-purpose room/classroom will act as the connecting link to a future residential life building that will mirror this structure. This project has been designed to meet Minnesota B-3 Sustainability Guidelines.
