NDSCS | Power Plant reRoof

The Power Plant Roof Replacement project consisted of the replacement of an existing built-up roof system with an adhered EPDM membrane system at the highest roof section of the plant. Though less expensive than an adhered system, a ballasted system was quickly dismissed because of the simplicity that an adhered system provides in enabling visibility in finding roof issues/leaks should they arise and, because of the concern of high winds blowing ballast from the roof. A unique detail was developed to close a gap between the roof penthouse and the main roof that would meet warranty requirements.
