NDSU – Stockbridge Hall
Stockbridge Hall was implemented with dormers and roof features to break up its long length and to make it fit in better with the campus’ surrounding architecture.
A sloped shingle roof was designed to cover the existing EPDM membrane. The building’s new attic increased energy efficiency by updating to an R-40 insulation value (combined with the retained EPDM insulation at the roof). The new attic space contains a zoned fire detection system.
A remodel of the existing west entrance provides a more inviting presence, as it is the “Front Door” to the campus and the men’s residence hall.
