Stanley Housing Renovation
The North Dakota oil boom has created a burgeoning need for housing in Western North Dakota Lutheran Social Services Housing retained MJBA to adapt the community’s unoccupied former hospital, originally built in 1950, into market rate apartments. An unusual building type for this type of conversion, the buildings interior was redesigned and now provides 17 units, consisting of 3-3 bedroom, 5-2 bedroom, 4-1 bedroom, and 5 studio apartments. The design and financing period began in the fall of 2009. Construction started fall of 2010 and the facility opened in September 2011.
